With an estimated membership of 55 million, people with a disability are America’s Largest Minority. This site was originally established as the web site for the Largest Minority Radio Show. It aired on WBAI, 99.5 FM in New York City from 2002 till 2016. At its inception, the Largest Minority could be heard once a month and was the voice of "Disabled In Action of Metropolitan New York", a cross disability activist and advocacy organization established in 1970.

The Largest Minority is not currently on the air but we hope to change that in the future. We are reestablishing our web presence with a monthly news report, resource listings and an opinion page. Hopefully we will be able to expand our presentation into fields like disability culture and the place of disabled people in employment and society at large.

Please excuse our rudimentary appearance while we get up and running. We invite your feedback and comments but most of all we invite your voice, thoughts and words. We can be reached by email at phil@kermitplace.us
